Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch yet another AMG, taking the AMG tally to nine models.
After the launch of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance in India, the company is all set to launch yet another AMG in the country, taking the AMG tally in India to 9 models, including the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+, Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+, Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+, Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, and the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+. The latest to join this line-up is the Mercedes-AMG SL 55 Roadster, due on June 22, 2023.
The new Mercedes-AMG SL 55 Roadster is the latest generation of the iconic Mercedes-AMG sports car and features a completely redesigned exterior and interior, as well as a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 469 bhp and 702 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The Mercedes-AMG SL 55 Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph, in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 295 kmph.
The exterior of the new Mercedes-AMG SL 55 Roadster is characterised by its sleek and aerodynamic design. The front end features a large Panamericana grille, slim LED headlights, and a wide air intake. The sides of the car are sculpted and feature large air vents to cool the brakes. The rear end is dominated by a large LED taillight cluster and an integrated rear spoiler.
The interior of the new Mercedes-AMG SL 55 Roadster is luxurious and spacious. The cabin features high-quality materials and finishes, including Nappa leather upholstery, carbon-fibre trim, and a large panoramic sunroof. The SL also comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
