These price reductions come at a crucial time for Mercedes-Benz India, as the luxury car market continues to show strong growth momentum.
Mercedes-Benz India has announced significant price reductions across its complete model range following the implementation of GST 2.0. The German luxury automaker has passed on the benefits of the revised tax structure directly to customers, with reductions ranging from ₹2.60 lakhs to ₹11 lakhs across different models. The price revisions cover Mercedes-Benz's entire Indian portfolio, from entry-level luxury sedans to flagship models, ensuring that the GST benefits reach customers across all price segments.
The Mercedes-Benz A200d, positioned as the brand's entry point into luxury motoring, now starts at ₹45.95 lakhs (ex-showroom), down from its previous price of ₹48.55 lakhs - a reduction of ₹2.60 lakhs.
Sedan Range Receives Significant Benefits
The popular E-Class LWB 450 4MATIC, known for its blend of luxury and practicality, has seen its price drop from ₹97 lakhs to ₹91 lakhs, offering customers a substantial saving of ₹6 lakhs. Meanwhile, the flagship S 450 4MATIC is now priced at ₹1.88 crores compared to its earlier ₹1.99 crores, representing an ₹11 lakh reduction.
The Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line has also benefited from the GST revision, with its price reduced from ₹68 lakhs to ₹64.30 lakhs, making it ₹3.70 lakhs more affordable.
Mercedes-Benz's popular SUV range has received competitive pricing adjustments. The GLA 220d 4MATIC AMG Line, the brand's compact luxury SUV, now costs ₹52.70 lakhs instead of ₹56.50 lakhs - a reduction of ₹3.80 lakhs that enhances its value proposition in the competitive luxury SUV segment.
The mid-size GLC 300 4MATIC has seen its price drop from ₹79.25 lakhs to ₹73.95 lakhs, offering customers a saving of ₹5.30 lakhs. The larger GLE 450 4MATICis now available at ₹1.07 crores compared to its previous ₹1.15 crores, representing an ₹8 lakh price reduction.
These price reductions come at a crucial time for Mercedes-Benz India, as the luxury car market continues to show strong growth momentum. With all prices being ex-showroom and pan-India indicative figures, the actual benefits to customers may vary slightly based on local taxes and dealer charges. However, the substantial reductions across the portfolio position Mercedes-Benz more aggressively in the Indian luxury car market.
The timing of these price revisions, coinciding with the festive season and the traditionally strong Q4 sales period, could potentially boost sales volumes for the German luxury marque. The reductions make previously aspirational models more accessible while maintaining the brand's premium positioning.
