Mercedes is offering the GLE facelift in three variants – 300d 4Matic, 450 4Matic and 450d 4Matic.
Mercedes has launched the GLE facelift, featuring updates to its design, interior, and powertrain. The SUV comes with changes like a redesigned front bumper, a new grille, updated LED lights, and fresh alloy wheels. The interior includes a new steering wheel and the latest MBUX system. The GLE facelift is available in three variants: 300d 4Matic, 450d 4Matic, and 450 4Matic.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE LWB is now available in India with three distinct variants and corresponding price points. The entry-level model, the GLE 300d Professional, is priced at ₹ 96.4 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Moving up the range, the GLE 450 AMG is available at ₹ 1.1 crore (ex-showroom, India), offering a higher level of features and performance. For those seeking even more power and luxury, the top-tier GLE 450d AMG is priced at ₹ 1.15 crore (ex-showroom, India), making it the most premium option in the lineup.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE LWB features exterior design updates that are relatively minor. Changes include a revised front bumper, a new single-slat grille, and updated LED headlights. The vehicle's profile remains similar, with the addition of new alloy wheels. At the rear, slight adjustments have been made to the bumper and taillights.
The global unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz GLE LWB took place earlier this year. It features redesigned headlights and tail lights for all SUV trims, along with a horizontal chrome strip running across the centre of the grille. The AMG line trim includes distinctive exterior features that differentiate it from the Professional Line.
Inside the vehicle, the changes are relatively minimal. The dashboard layout remains same, but there is a new steering wheel and chrome-finished air vents. The screens now run on the latest version of Mercedes' advanced MBUX infotainment system. The electric seat controls have been integrated into the door panel, and the ambient lighting, particularly at night, adds to the overall aesthetics.
The GLE LWB offers three powertrain options, all of which come with a 9-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. Each engine also features a mild-hybrid 48V integrated starter-generator (ISG), providing an extra 20hp and 200Nm to their peak performance.
The GLE 300d is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 269hp and 550Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds. The GLE 450d uses a six-cylinder diesel engine with 367hp and 750Nm, achieving a 0-100km/h time of 5.6 seconds.
The GLE 450 is powered by a six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, generating 381hp and 500Nm. It shares the same 0-100km/h acceleration time as the 450d, taking just 5.6 seconds.

The GLE is equipped with a range of features, including a 4-zone climate control system, electric tailgate, wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, and a Burmester 3D sound system.
The AC vents are highlighted with chrome surrounds, and the interior features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 12.3-inch digital driver display. Comfort features include a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, wireless charging capability, and USB Type-C ports. The top-spec GLE 450 and 450d variants come with air suspension for added comfort. Additionally, the front seats are electrically adjustable and include memory functions, heating, and ventilation.
The vehicle offers nine airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), traction control, and various Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, including blind spot monitoring for enhanced safety.
