Mercedes-Benz India registered a 9 per cent increase in sales when compared to 9,013 units sold during H1 2025, backed by strong demand for core models, as well as the success of new models such as the CLA EV and V-Class.
Mercedes-Benz India has announced its half-yearly sales for the 2026 calendar year, and the company records its best-ever H1 volumes with 9,768 units sold between January and June. The luxury auto giant registered a 9 per cent increase in sales when compared to 9,013 units sold during H1 2025. The company further reported a record Q2 2026 (April - June) with 4,637 units sold, registering a 10 per cent hike year-on-year, against 4,238 units sold during Q2 2025.
Mercedes-Benz attributed its strong sales momentum to newer launches such as the CLA EV, as well as the sustained demand on the core and top-end (₹1.4 crore & above) models. The automaker revealed that demand for its top-end models, comprising the Maybach, S-Class, AMG, and the new V-Class, grew by over 20 per cent, contributing a healthy 28 per cent to over volumes.

Mercedes-AMG sales surged by 50 per cent in the first half of the calendar year, while the luxury electric vehicle made up for 25 per cent of all top-end Mercedes-Benz cars sold. With respect to Q2 volumes, electric vehicle penetration doubled to 14 per cent of total sales, backed by the new CLA in the entry segment and the EQS SUV in the top-end space.
Speaking about the robust sales for H1 2026, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “Mercedes-Benz’s strong growth in first half of 2026 underlines the success of our strategy rooted in offering desirable products, elevated customer experience and transforming our network with clear focus on getting closer to customers. The new V-Class and CLA BEV drove our best-ever H1 and Q2 sales, underpinning superior product substance, reconfirming Mercedes customers’ preference for value over entry price points. The success of the new CLA BEV is an affirmation that Mercedes-Benz customers prefer owning the latest technology, with the car being sold out within a few days of market introduction, customers willing to wait till 5-6 months, to proudly own the car which is truly distinctive and a class of its own. The CLA BEV has propelled Mercedes-Benz’s BEV penetration to reach 14% in Q2 2026. H1 2026 has shown increased preference for our Topend Vehicles, with the share of TEVs now reaching an all-time high of 28%, fueled by the introduction and growing demand for the New V-Class and the 50% growth trajectory achieved by the AMG portfolio.”

Mercedes-Benz India witnessed consistent demand for the GLA, alongside the new CLA BEV, in the entry segment, which grew by 30 per cent in Q2 2026. That said, the EQS SUV became the highest-selling electric vehicle for Mercedes-Benz India in the last quarter.
The E-Class continues to lead the automaker’s sales charts, and the automaker revealed it is witnessing strong demand for the top-spec E 450 trim of the luxury sedan. The E-Class also continues to hold the title of being the best-selling luxury car in India. Meanwhile, the C-Class, GLC and GLE continue to witness sustained demand and form part of the core models at Mercedes-Benz India.
Mercedes is also witnessing strong demand for the new V-Class and will be re-opening bookings later this month for the next batch, with deliveries slated around the festive period. The waiting period for Mercedes’ top-end vehicles now stands at an average of four months, while models such as the AMG G 63 have a waiting period of up to a year.

Order books for the newly launched Mercedes-Benz S-Class PHEV are full for the AMG Line, but the Exclusive Line is still available, the automaker revealed. Deliveries for the new S-Class PHEV will commence during the festive season.
