JSW MG Motor India is set to strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) segment with the introduction of two premium models—the Cyberster electric roadster and the M9 electric luxury MPV. Bookings for both vehicles have commenced with a token amount of ₹51,000, and deliveries are expected to begin in Q2, 2025.
The Cyberster and M9 will be sold through MG Select dealerships across 13 major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai. While pricing details remain undisclosed, the company has hinted at competitive positioning, making both models attractive in their respective segments.
With no all-electric two-door roadsters currently available under ₹1 crore in India, the Cyberster aims to carve out a niche among performance enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the M9 will enter the luxury MPV segment, where fully electric options are scarce.
Touted as the fastest MG roadster ever, the Cyberster recently set a record at Sambhar Salt Lake, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. The car features an aggressive design with scissor doors, a convertible body style, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Performance is a key highlight, with dual motors producing 510 bhp and 725 Nm of torque, powered by a 77 kWh battery pack. MG claims a driving range of approximately 500 km on a single charge.
Targeting the premium MPV segment, the M9 promises a high level of comfort, particularly for second-row passengers. Equipped with a 90 kWh battery, the M9 delivers a range of 430 km and is powered by a 240 bhp motor with 350 Nm of torque.
