Priced starting at ₹19,49,800, the Tomahawk EV is available in three variants. Read on to find out which one could be the best fit for you.
MG Motor India has rolled out the Hector Tomahawk, the brand's new electric SUV, in three trims — Excite, Exclusive and Essence — priced from ₹19,49,800 to ₹23,49,800 (ex-showroom, All India). The company has also brought back its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership plan, under which the Tomahawk can be bought for as little as ₹13.99 lakh plus a battery rental of ₹4.9 per km, making the EV more accessible to first-time buyers.
Underpinning all three trims is the same powertrain: a 69.2 kWh battery pack driving a 150 kW, 310 Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor, good for a claimed range of 517 km on a single charge and a 0-100 kmph sprint in 8.2 seconds. The SUV measures 4,745 mm in length with a 2,810 mm wheelbase, and can be had with either five or seven seats, depending on variant.
The entry-level Excite is offered only as a seven-seater, priced at ₹19,49,800 (₹13,99,000 under BaaS). It comes with the essentials: LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and DRLs, six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold control, electronic stability control, a reverse parking camera and rear parking sensors. Inside, buyers get a 32.5 cm touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, leather (man-made) seat upholstery, and MG's i-Smart connected car suite with voice assistant and remote lock/unlock functionality.

Priced at ₹21,99,800 (₹15,99,000 under BaaS), the Exclusive is also a seven-seater-only variant and builds on the Excite with cosmetic and comfort upgrades. These include R18 dual-tone "Rotor" alloy wheels, chrome exterior accents, a chrome-finished window beltline, side body cladding, roof rails and a rear spoiler. The cabin gains the Desert Squadron interior theme in Almond Brown and Carbon Black.
The Essence sits at the top of the line-up and is the only variant offered with a choice of five or seven seats, priced at ₹22,99,800 and ₹23,49,800 respectively (₹16,99,000 and ₹17,49,000 under BaaS). It is the most feature-rich Tomahawk, adding the 39.6 cm "Grand View" touchscreen with India's first Gen AI-powered karaoke feature, a 10-speaker Infinity sound system with subwoofer, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an automatic powered tailgate, and 256-colour ambient lighting.
Crucially, the Essence is also the only variant to get MG's Level 2 ADAS suite — comprising adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking — along with Vehicle-to-Load, Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Home functionality, the latter billed as an India-first for a mass-market EV, allowing the car's battery to power a home during outages.
