The open-top version of the Battista was commissioned in 2023 and took a year to complete.
Automobili Pininfarina built a one-off version of the Battista called Targamerica. This custom-built model of the brand’s electric hypercar has been delivered to basketball legend Michael Jordan, who is known to have an exquisite collection of exotic vehicles. The Targamerica isn’t the only Battista model that Jordan owns.
The Battista Targamerica is claimed to be the world’s first coach-built electric hypercar and it comes with a removable roof. It is also the brand’s first custom built Battista commissioned directly by a client. The Targamerica was commissioned at the 2023 Monterey Car Week and it took Automobili Pininfarina one year to deliver it to Jordan.
The Targamerica is finished in silver with blue accents on the sides and on the aero wings ahead of the rear wheels. The interior gets a two-tone black and brown theme with carbon fibre on the floor, steering column and centre console. The headrests get a bespoke ‘F’ logo along with unique touches for Jordan. The Targamerica also gets bespoke luggage set finished in the same brown as the cabin and has the car’s silhouette embossed on it.
A personal touch for Jordan is a cigar holder and humidor in the space between the seats. The aluminium and glass case, which holds up to 3 cigars, is backlit and illuminated to match the five colours – Green, Blue, Orange, Red and Yellow.
The Battista Targamerica is powered by four electric motors churning out an impressive 1874 bhp and 2340 Nm, allowing it to sprint from 0-100 kmph in under two seconds. It packs a 120 kWh battery pack that has a claimed range of 476 km (WLTP) on a full charge.
