Mini India has launched the limited-run Cooper Oxford Edition with exclusive Union Jack styling, premium tech, and a 201 bhp engine.
Mini India has launched the Mini Cooper Oxford Edition in the country, priced at ₹55.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Introduced at the newly opened Mini dealership in Lucknow, the special edition three-door hatchback arrives as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) in strictly limited quantities.
The launch commemorates 25 years of modern Mini production at Plant Oxford in the United Kingdom, incorporating exclusive British heritage styling cues throughout its design. Based on the 'Favoured Pack', the Oxford Edition is available in two exclusive paint finishes: Indigo Sunset Blue and Chili Red. The vehicle features a white contrast roof proudly adorned with the Union Jack, complemented by a central red and white stripe running across the bodywork.
Additional exterior details include white mirror caps, a crossed-flags boot sticker blending the Union Jack and a chequered racing flag, 18-inch two-tone Slide Spoke alloy wheels, and three selectable signature DRL lighting modes for the LED headlights and matrix rear lights.
Inside, the cabin incorporates JCW Sport Seats upholstered in recycled Vescin Black, along with chrome-free and leather-free surfaces using two-tone knitted fabrics. Union Jack design elements extend to the steering wheel, floor mats, door sills, and key cap. Technology highlights centre around a circular 240 mm OLED touchscreen running Mini Operating System 9, a Head-up Display, an interior Fisheye Camera, a panoramic glass roof, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.
Under the bonnet, the Cooper S Oxford Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted via a 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport transmission, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 242 km/h. The hatchback also features adaptive suspension, JCW Sport Brakes, and safety equipment including Dynamic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control, and multiple airbags.
