Mini India registered a 70% sales growth in H1 2026, delivering 504 cars, backed by a widening tier-2 dealership network.
Mini India has published its retail performance metrics for the first half of 2026, tracking a substantial volume increase over the corresponding period last year. Between January and June 2026, the premium automotive brand delivered 504 units to customers, representing a 70% year-on-year growth trajectory.
The momentum was primarily anchored by new product variant arrivals, limited-edition inventory clearances, and an ongoing overhaul of the brand's national dealer network.
The brand's sales volume was led by the Mini Countryman compact crossover, followed sequentially by the Mini Convertible and the core Mini Hatch. To sustain consumer interest, the automaker introduced the locally produced Mini Countryman C in mid-June 2026, which is structurally positioned to serve as a high-volume entry point for the brand moving forward.

Additionally, the firm exhausted its allocations for limited-run special models, with both the Mini Cooper S Victory Edition and the Mini Convertible JCW Pack completely selling out shortly after launch.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, stated that the localized assembly of the new Countryman C will lower accessibility barriers for prospective buyers and play a central role in the brand's domestic growth strategy.
To support its higher volume target, Mini India is updating its physical sales channels under a globally aligned showroom architecture called "Retail.NEXT". The company currently operates 18 customer touchpoints spread across 17 cities nationwide.
Throughout the remainder of 2026, the carmaker plans to establish initial retail footprints in several emerging regional markets, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ranchi, Guwahati, Surat, Vijayawada, and Lucknow. Concurrently, the firm is deepening its operational capacity within established high-volume metropolitan hubs such as Mumbai, Pune, and Gurugram to capture concentrated luxury demand.
