Motorola has announced a new low-cost smartphone, the Moto G35 5G. This model offers 5G connectivity and a water-repellent design, along with an optional vegan leather textured rear panel. The Moto G35 5G is available in a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, priced at ₹9,999 in India. It is now listed on Flipkart and Motorola’s online store, and will go on sale starting on December 16.
The Moto G35 5G is powered by a Unisoc T760 SoC, with four Arm Cortex-A76 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. You get a 6.7-inch full-HD (1080x2400-pixel) screen with a 120Hz peak refresh rate and 1000nit peak brightness. Motorola says this panel should detect touch even if a user has moist hands.
Weighing 188-192g and measuring 7.79mm thick, the Moto G35 5G has an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio. Motorola has used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and you get a choice of matte acrylic (Midnight Black) and vegan leather (Guava Red and Leaf Green) on the rear panel. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the side and a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom.

This phone has a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Interestingly, Motorola does not include a charger in the box, but says any USB-PD compatible unit will work. The main rear camera has a 50-megapixel resolution and f/1.8 aperture. There’s also an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and a dual-LED flash. Video capture goes up to 4K 30fps. There’s a 16-megapixel front camera.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, FM radio, Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 5. This is a dual-SIM phone with one physical slot and the ability to use an eSIM. It runs Android 14 and supports some AI photo retouching features in Google Photos.
