Italian motorcycle manufacturer Moto Morini has announced substantial price cuts across its Seiemmezzo 650 range in India, with reductions of up to ₹2,00,000. The 2025 Seiemmezzo Retro Street now costs ₹4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Scrambler variant will now set you back by ₹5.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). These new prices will be effective from 20th February.
Both the Seiemmezzo Retro and Scrambler might look similar to each other but have their own distinctive purpose. For starters, both are powered by the same 649 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, engine. In the Retro Street model, this engine produces 61 bhp, while the Scrambler produces 55.65 bhp. Either way, the peak torque output remains the same at 54 Nm, produced at 7000 rpm. But surprisingly, the tyre size in both the bikes are the same, 18-/17-inch, and the hardware components are also alike, with the same configuration.
However, the Siemmezzo Scrambler's wheels are shod with Pirelli MT60RS tyres, while the Seiemmezzo Retro Street's are Pirelli Angel GT rubber. The other difference lies in their appeal. The Seiemmezzo Scrambler looks a bit rugged, with an elevated front mudguard and ribbed seats. The Seiemmezzo Retro Street looks sportier, and much toned down.
The significant price reduction comes as Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), which handles Moto Morini's operations in the country, aims to make the Italian brand more accessible to Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. The move positions the Seiemmezzo 650 twins more competitively in India's premium motorcycle segment, where they compete with established mid-capacity motorcycles from other European and Japanese manufacturers. However, with the launch of several new exciting models, like the new Tuono 457 for example, the competition couldn’t get more difficult now.
