Motorola has launched its new flagship smartphone, the Edge 50 Pro, marking its global debut at a launch event in India. The Edge 50 Pro features a 6.7-inch POLED HDR10+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. Motorola claims it has a peak brightness of 2000 nits. The phone has a metal built and is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
The Edge 50 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. It runs on Android 14 with Hello UI. Motorola promises 3 Years of OS Upgrades and 4 Years of security updates.
The 50MP primary camera has an f/1.4 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Edge 50 Pro can record 4K HDR10+ videos at up to 30 FPS. Its 50MP front camera also supports autofocus, HDR and 4K video recording.
The phone has a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 125W fast wired and 50W wireless charging.
Motorola is offering the Edge 50 Pro in India at a starting price of Rs 31,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. The 12GB/256GB variant will cost Rs 35,999. It comes in black and lavender colours and the Moonlight Pearl limited edition. The first sale is scheduled for April 9, while the Moonlight Pearl model goes on sale on April 8.
