MWC 2024: Energizer P28K Unveiled with Mammoth 28,000mAh Battery

Avenir Telecom has taken the wraps off its latest Energizer-branded smartphone - the Hard Case P28K. As the name suggests, the headline feature is its massive 28,000mAh battery, promising long-lasting battery life.

At Mobile World Congress 2024, Avenir revealed the P28K aims to redefine smartphone endurance. With such a mammoth battery, the company claims the phone can deliver up to a full week of regular usage on a single charge.

That kind of longevity, Avenir claims, would make it ideal for situations where access to power is unreliable or during extended outdoor adventures away from power sources or could also appeal to users in markets with unstable electricity grids.

In addition to the massive battery, the P28K carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and operating in extreme temperatures.

Key specs include 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a triple rear camera system headlined by a 64MP primary camera, a 6.78-inch 1080p display and Mediatek Helio G99 chip running Android 14. The P28K also supports fast charging up to 33W.

While the large battery delivers on longevity, it does come at the cost of bulk. At 27.8mm thick and weighing 570g, the P28K is a hefty phone compared to most sleek flagship devices on the market.

The Energizer Hard Case P28K is expected to go on sale globally, excluding the US, in October, priced at EUR 249.
