New-Gen Renault Duster Deliveries Begin

Renault launched the new generation of the Duster almost a month back at a starting price of ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The French carmaker has now commenced nationwide customer deliveries of the new Duster across India. The first delivery also coincides with the brand's inauguration of the brand’s first new’R store on Mount Road in Chennai.

The new’R Store in Chennai is a 1S facility spanning 4,500 sq. ft., of which 3,000 sq. ft. is dedicated to the display and customer interaction area. Designed as an urban experiential outlet, it can showcase up to five vehicles and includes a dedicated delivery bay, ensuring a seamless and immersive brand experience. The Chennai outlet also marked a milestone by delivering the first unit of the new Renault Duster.

The occasion was marked by the presence of François Provost, Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group, and Stephane Deblaise, Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group in India, who handed over the keys of the first Duster to Dr. Arthanari Manickavasagam, a well-known doctor based in Chennai.

Renault continues to expand its retail network in India. The newly inaugurated ‘R Store’ is the brand’s second outlet in Chennai, taking the total count of such stores in India to 11. The company has laid out aggressive plans to scale this urban retail format, aiming to reach 70 outlets nationwide within the year. These experiential stores will complement Renault’s existing network of over 350 sales touchpoints across the country.

New-Gen Renault Duster: Price & Specs

The Duster line-up in India is spread across five trims namely Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+ and Iconic trims. Prices range from ₹10.49 lakh to ₹18.49 lakh (both ex-showroom). Buyers who book with the R Pass get lower introductory prices, with benefits of up to ₹40,000 depending on the variant.

The new Renault Duster uses a 1.0-litre Turbo TCe 100 engine with a manual gearbox as the entry powertrain option. Higher variants use a 1.3-litre Turbo TCe 160 engine, with a choice of manual transmission or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Renault will also add a third engine option to the lineup at a later stage. This 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid tech is expected to make its debut around Diwali this year. Total output from this powertrain reaches 160 bhp and 172 Nm from a 1.4 kWh battery.
