The 9th generation of the Camry has more features than before and now also comes with the ADAS suite
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has launched the 9th generation of the Camry in India and has priced it at Rs. 48 lakh (ex-showroom India). It’s a dramatic make over compared to the last generation. The Camry gets a revised front fascia and the grille is now wide and aggressive grille with horizontal slats. The C-shaped LED DRLs to are new and add a new angle to way the sedan looks.
The Camry also gets a set of multi-spoke alloy wheels, sharp creases on the door panels, redesigned LED taillamps and headlamps, and a large panoramic sunroof. But it’s the cabin that gets everyone’s attention.

It gets a touch of modernity which the Camry deserved and this includes a large infotainment system and an all-digital instrument panel. The graphics too are new and there’s also a new steering wheel on offer.
The centre console too has been updated and there are a host of new features on offer including the ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, 9 airbags, parking sensors front and back and even multi-zone climate control.

The Camry gets a 2.5-litre petrol engine with a hybrid system. Combined output is upwards of 230 bhp which is 11 bhp more than before. The sedan comes to India as a CKD unit and will be assembled at the company’s Bidadi plant in Karnataka.
The Camry will go up against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and even the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine, both of which are priced higher than the Toyota.
