The arrival of the new fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift was one of the most anticipated launches in 2024, and it has finally happened. Available in six trim levels, prices for the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift start from ₹6.49 lakh onwards (ex-showroom) with the base-spec Swift LXi trim, while the top-spec Swift ZXi+ with dual-tone colour option will set you back by ₹9,64,500. This makes the base Swift dearer by almost ₹25,000, while (ex-showroom, Delhi) the top-spec model is ₹50,000 more expensive than the previous generation model.

In this price range, the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will rival the likes of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Citroen C3, Hyundai i20, and even the first coupe SUV to come out of its own brand, the Fronx. Aside from its natural rivals – the Tata Tiago and the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS. So, how does the 2024 Swift compare against these models price-wise?

Tata’s entry-level offering, the Tiago is available in ten trim levels. Starting with the base-spec XE trim which is priced from ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, while the top-spec Tiago XZ NRG trim, which is also its top-spec CNG model, costs ₹7.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Thus making the Tiago range affordable by almost ₹1 lakh than the new Maruti Suzuki Swift. It should also be noted here that the new Swift misses out on a CNG trim, unlike before.

On the other hand, the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is available in 11 variants. Prices start from ₹5.92 lakh (ex-showroom) with the base spec Era trim model. While the top-spec Asta trim with the automatic gearbox option will set you back by ₹8,56,300 (ex-showroom). Therefore, the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is also almost ₹1 lakh affordable than the new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift.
