Mercedes-AMG has revealed the second teaser of its as-of-yet-unnamed upcoming electric SUV. This off-roader will be the first electric SUV developed by AMG completely in-house and will be based on the brand’s AMG.EA electric vehicle architecture. Though it isn’t the first to be based on this platform.
Testing of the new electric SUV has begun in Sweden near the Arctic Circle, the same place the AMG.EA-based four-door electric coupe was tested earlier this year.

While the SUV is covered completely in camouflage, it does indicate that it will have a completely different design language than AMG’s other electric SUV – the EQE 53 4Matic+. The new SUV will have a longer hood, slimmer headlamps, a clamshell-like bonnet and a wide bumper. However, since it is heavily camouflaged, it becomes slightly difficult to judge the details of the design of the new SUV.
Mercedes-AMG only shared one image of its upcoming electric SUV. But that image also hints that it will get pop-out door handles, as seen on many new Mercedes models, as well as a thick C-pillar and large alloy wheels. It remains to be seen if this new SUV will have a third row of seats.

The interior and the powertrain details of the new AMG electric SUV remain a mystery but expect more information to be announced closer to its launch, which also remains a mystery. Given that Mercedes-AMG has just started testing the new SUV, it could make its global debut either in late 2025 or in 2026.
