This new registered design looks similar to the Roadster motorcycle that Ola had showcased earlier.
As Ola gears up for an onslaught of several new electric motorcycles shortly, the Bengaluru-based brand has been on a design patent registration spree. After the commuter electric motorcycle design patent we noticed yesterday, we have now come across design patents for two new models. Interestingly, both of these models resemble the Roadster bike that Ola showcased last year, alongside three more concept models.
So, just like the concept, both these models boast of a distinct sharp body design of the naked sport motorcycle. While the middle section of the bike looks quite chunky, we presume this is primarily due to the battery pack and electric motor that it is hiding. Aside from the familiar design, the subtle differences in styling between the two further indicate that both might be different trim models of the same bike.
Thereby, the hardware components are the same in both bikes with the same telescopic fork and monoshock suspension set up. The wheels also appear to be 17-inch in size, with a very sporty-looking 5-spoke alloy design. The wheels are shod with tyres that are usually associated with naked sport bikes.
The ergonomics of both bikes appear to be pretty comfortable, and yet sporty. This is given away by the fact that it sports clip-on handlebars, and the footpegs are slightly rear-set. Besides, the upswept tail section is again different between both the models, with one getting a more aggressive set-up and a complete two-step seat design. Feature-wise, we can expect the bikes to be available with a large instrument cluster just like the ones we find in the Ola S1 Pro and Air. Along with LED headlights, tail light will most likely be available as part of the standard feature list.
