Revolt products are the highest-selling electric motorcycles in our country
While electric scooters have boomed in our country, the same can’t be said about electric motorcycles. Many brands tried to make an impact, but failed, such as Tork Motors with the Kratos, the Oben Rorr sales have been slow and even the Matter Aera deliveries have not commenced yet. The only electric motorcycle which seems to have clicked is the Revolt RV400 series. In fact, Revolt was one of the first brands to enter the EV two-wheeler space and the company has announced that it will be launching a new bike on September 17.
No details or teasers have been shared of the upcoming Revolt bike but we think it could be a more premium variant of the RV400. The company had earlier this year introduced the Revolt RV400 BRZ, its most affordable offering so it leads us to believe that a more powerful and premium product just before the festive season commences. Talking about the festive season, here’s the list of upcoming electric two-wheelers to be launched soon.
The Revolt RV400 series is powered by a 3kW mid-mounted motor and the company claims a top speed of 85 kmph. The electric bike gets three riding modes and the charging time is around 4.5 hours. The 72V, 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery is good enough for a claimed range of up to 150 km in Eco mode, 100 km in Normal mode, and 80 km in Sport mode. The major difference between the RV400 and the BRZ is app connected features. The RV400 BRZ retails for ₹1.38 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas the top-end variant carries a ₹5,000 premium.
