Hyundai’s popular subcompact SUV, the Venue, is gearing up for a generational update, as camouflaged test mules continue to be spotted across India. The latest sighting offers a clearer view of the model’s refreshed exterior design, hinting at the brand’s evolving styling direction and an effort to keep the SUV competitive in a segment that includes the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.

Visually, the next-gen Venue adopts several elements aligned with Hyundai’s latest SUV design language. The front fascia is set to feature split LED DRLs and vertically stacked dual-pod headlamps, similar to those seen on newer Hyundai SUVs like the Exter and the global Tucson. The grille gets multiple rectangular inserts, giving it a more aggressive appearance, while faux skid plates lend a rugged touch.
Also new are the roof rails and a fresh design for the alloy wheels, which further distinguish this update from the current generation. The rear of the upcoming Venue has been updated as well, with wraparound LED tail lamps, a high-mounted stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, and a redesigned bumper that now houses the number plate recess.
While Hyundai has yet to reveal the interior, expectations point toward a major overhaul. Likely upgrades include a reworked dashboard, new seat upholstery, and feature additions such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and an updated ADAS suite, potentially aligning with offerings in Hyundai's newer models.

Under the hood, the Venue is expected to retain its current set of powertrains. The existing engine lineup includes a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel, paired with manual, iMT, and 7-speed DCT options.
