Deliveries for the brand's flagship EV will start from June onwards.
Nissan has finally launched the Ariya Nismo, however exclusively for the Japanese market. Starting from 8,429,300 yen (approx. ₹47,19,333), the flagship EV offering from the Japanese marque is available in two variants: B6 and B9, and both are available with Nissan’s e-4FORCE all-wheel drivetrain as standard.
To be more specific, the B6 slots as the entry-level trim, powered by a smaller 66 kWh battery that produces 362 bhp and 560 Nm. Whereas the top-spec B9 variant features the bigger 91 kWh battery pack that develops 430 bhp and 600 Nm and carries a price tag at 94,41,300 yen (approx. ₹52,85,924). Being a Nismo-badged Nissan (Nissan’s sports division), acceleration is quicker with 0-100 kmph coming up in 4.8 seconds, unlike the standard Ariya which takes around 8 seconds to reach the same speed.
To differentiate itself from the standard Ariya, the Nissan Ariya NISMO looks more premium and aggressive. The enhanced visual appeal comes from the different and exclusive bumpers, rear spoilers, and door mouldings. The overall styling redesign has also helped reduce drag, which in turn helps generate greater downforce at higher speeds.
The interior gets an all-black treatment with spicy red accents for a more sporty appearance. The seats also get a ‘Nismo’ badge and a unique Nismo-exclusive Bose Premium Sound system, that produces a “sound” equivalent to a Formula E race car.

Nissan has confirmed that deliveries for the Ariya Nismo in Japan will start from June onwards. In the meantime, it will also start accepting orders for the standard Ariya variants, again for the Japanese market only.
