Nissan is gearing up for two back-to-back product debuts with the Gravite seven-seater MPV set to arrive on January 21, followed by the new Tekton compact SUV scheduled for a global debut on February 4.
Nissan Motor India has shared the next phase of its growth plan for the domestic market and the automaker has two new launches lined up in the next couple of weeks. The automaker has confirmed that the upcoming Nissan Gravite seven-seater MPV will be launched on January 21, while the Tekton compact SUV is slated for a global debut on February 4, 2026. Both models will be made in India for domestic and export markets.
Nissan’s turnaround plan for India includes three new offerings over the next 18 months. While the Magnite has been shouldering the brand solo for the longest time in India, the automaker is making a strong comeback with a more mass-friendly product range. Up first, the Nissan Gravite is expected to be a sub-4-metre MPV bringing a new option to customers. Expect it to share the underpinnings with the Renault Triber. The first images of the MPV promise a bold design, giving the model a distinctly different identity over the Triber. The interior should be different too, albeit packing seven seats in a similar fashion. The Gravite is expected to get the numbers going for Nissan as the new sub Rs 10 lakh offering in its range.

On the other hand, the Nissan Tekton is expected to share its underpinnings with the new-generation Renault Duster, slated for its India entry on January 26, 2026. The new Tekton is expected to borrow styling cues from the flagship Patrol SUV in Nissan’s range, while the cabin is likely to remain upmarket with multiple screens and creature comforts. The Nissan Tekton will be arriving in a heavily contested space, which now has the Tata Sierra and new-gen Kia Seltos for company.
Furthermore, Nissan India has confirmed that a third three-row SUV is in the works and will arrive in 2027. All three models will be built at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Tamil Nadu for domestic and select export markets, the automaker confirmed.
In terms of sales, Nissan concluded the year with 1,902 units sold domestically in December 2025, an 11.36 per cent decline in volumes compared to 2,118 units sold in December 2024. Exports for the automaker stood at 13,470 units last month, a hike of 29 per cent year-on-year.
Commenting on the sales performance and upcoming launches, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said: “CY2025 was a year of consolidation for Nissan Motor India, supported by steady domestic and record export performance in December 2025 led by the New Nissan Magnite. During the year, we also took important steps in shaping our next phase of growth with the Design Deep-dive & Name Reveal for the Nissan Tekton C-SUV in October and the Nissan Gravite in December, clearly signaling our product-led resurgence in India. With a well-defined product offensive starting in early 2026 and India playing a critical role in Nissan’s global strategy, our teams and dealer partners are fully aligned to deliver world-class, Made-in-India products that resonate strongly with Indian customers.”
Nissan will also expand its touchpoints to 250 showrooms by the end of FY2027. The company recently inaugurated new showrooms in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, and Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
