Upon launch, the Nissan Gravite will go up against its platform sibling, the Renault Triber.
Nissan has revealed the name of its upcoming MPV, and it will be called Gravite. The Japanese carmaker has three new models lined up for launch over the next 12 months: a subcompact MPV based on the Renault Triber, the 5-seater Tekton C-segment SUV based on the new Renault Duster, and a 7-seat C-segment SUV based on the Renault (Dacia) Bigster. The first two models have previously been teased by the company.
At a closed press briefing, Nissan confirmed that this upcoming B-segment MPV will launch in India in January 2026. The company also shared some teaser images of the upcoming Gravite, which suggest that visually it will be very different from its platform sibling, the Triber.
Based on the Renault-Nissan CMF-A+ platform, the Nissan Gravite shares the same silhouette and stance as its French sibling but has unique front and rear designs. The front fascia of the Nissan Gravite wears a new look featuring a bolder, blacked-out V-motion grille with Nissan badge in the centre, dipped in chrome. The grille will most likely be flanked by projector LED headlamps with a chrome stripe above them.

Additionally, the Gravite also appears to have a hood scoop-like design on the bonnet, which gives it a muscular appeal. This MPV flaunts a prominent ‘Gravite’ badge on the tailgate along with a set of wraparound LED taillamps that are different from the ones seen on the Triber.
Although Nissan is yet to share a glimpse of its interiors, the Gravite is likely to share the same cabin layout as the Nissan Magnite, with dual-tone interiors. As for features, expect the Gravite to have an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, six airbags, 360-degree cameras, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, and electronic stability control.
Further, the seven-seat MPV will offer flexible seating layouts, enabling it to be configured as a two-, four-, five- or seven-seater, depending on requirements. We can expect teasers about the interiors and features in the time leading up to the launch date.

The upcoming Nissan Gravite MPV is expected to be offered with only a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 71 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm, also shared with the Triber. Transmission choices are likely to include a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT.
