Here's a detailed look at what the facelift version of the Magnite will offer.
The Nissan Magnite, a subcompact SUV that has been on sale in India since 2020, is poised for a facelift today. With the upcoming facelift, Nissan aims to keep the Magnite fresh and competitive in the ever-evolving subcompact SUV segment. Here's a detailed look at what the facelift version of the Magnite will offer.
According to recent teasers, the facelifted Nissan Magnite will receive subtle yet significant design tweaks. The most notable exterior changes include a revised grille and updated LED headlights, giving the SUV a refreshed front fascia. While the side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, the vehicle will sport new alloy wheels. At the rear, the Magnite will feature redesigned LED tail lights and tweaked bumpers. One teaser has also shown a new orange colour option, adding vibrancy to the model’s colour palette.
Inside, the facelifted Magnite’s dashboard layout will remain similar to the pre-facelift model, maintaining familiarity for current owners and fans of the SUV. However, Nissan will introduce a new black-and-orange interior theme, complemented by silver inserts for contrast.
As part of the midlife update, the Nissan Magnite facelift is expected to come with additional features to meet rising consumer expectations. Some of the speculated upgrades include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a sunroof, 6 airbags for enhanced safety. These new features would be added to the SUV’s existing equipment list, which already includes Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Automatic climate control, Wireless phone charging, JBL sound system, 360-degree camera and Electronic stability control (ESC).
The Magnite facelift is expected to retain the same engine options as the current model. The existing lineup includes a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
Displacement | 999 cc | 999 cc |
Engine | NA | Turbo |
Max Power | 71 bhp | 99 bhp |
Peak Torque | 96 Nm | 160 Nm |
Transmission | 5-Speed MT / 5-Speed AMT | 5-speed MT / 5-Speed CVT |
Nissan is expected to price the facelifted Magnite starting at around ₹6.3 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With this competitive pricing, the Magnite will continue to rival popular models in the subcompact SUV segment, including the Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Exter, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV 300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Kia Sonet.
