The Norton brand will make its India debut with its premium V4 range.
TVS Motor has big plans for 2025. After recently teasing its upcoming Norton premium motorcycle, the Indian two-wheeler giant has confirmed that it will be launching four new motorcycles under the British brand. The Norton teaser also mentioned that the first bike will be showcased at the 2025 EICMA motorcycle show in November. Recently, the Norton V4 test mule was spotted testing in Europe and an interesting aspect was that the test bike was ridden by TVS Motor Managing Director, Sudarshan Venu himself. In an annual report disclosure, Sudarshan has confirmed that the Norton brand will go on sale in India and other European markets by the end of this financial year. We expect Norton Motorcycles to make its India debut by February or March, 2026.
Sudarshan also announced that four new models will be ready in the first half of 2026. The British bikemaker's current portfolio consists of the Commando 961, V4SV and V4CR. The next generation Norton V4 can spawn four new variants, the first of which will be a superbike on the lines of the V4SV as spotted and the other three could be a cafe racer, a street naked and maybe even a Bobber. The updated Norton V4 is important for the company as it needs to comply with the new emission norms.
The recent FTA (free trade agreement) between India and the UK, is also good news for Norton as it promises to reduce duties for cars and bikes being imported from the UK. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his and his UK counterpart, Keir Starmer were shown the Norton bikes by Sudarshan Venu on the sidelines of the FTA agreement.
