This programme allows owners to design custom fairings!
TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles has launched its "One of One" customisation programme. This allows motorcycle enthusiasts to create machines that reflect owners' unique styles and personalities. The programme is available for three of Norton's models: the Commando 961, the V4 SV, and the V4 CR.
The level of customisation available depends on the chosen model. Commando 961 owners can personalise key visual components of their bikes, including the fuel tank, tail unit, and airbox. On the other hand, V4 CR and V4 SV riders are given much greater freedom. They can design the entire fairings and exterior panels of their motorcycle, essentially creating a one-of-a-kind look that reflects their complete vision.
This customisation journey begins with a one-on-one consultation with a Norton expert. During this session, the consultant will delve into the owner's ideas and help refine them into a clear plan. The Norton team then translates the owners’ vision into digital renderings, ensuring that they are completely satisfied with every detail before proceeding. Once the owner approves the design, a deposit secures the custom build.
The customisation process is tailored to each project's complexity, with Norton estimating a timeframe of four to six months for completion. Throughout this period, Norton keeps customers informed with regular updates, including video glimpses of the progress and personalised meetings if needed.
To showcase the programme's potential, Norton unveiled its first "One of One" creation: a stunning replica of the legendary "White Charger" race bike ridden by Steve Hislop to victory at the 1992 Senior Isle of Man TT. This V4 SV "White Charger" replica will embark on a celebratory tour before finding its permanent home at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, standing proudly alongside the original race bike.
At the Bharat Mobility Show, TVS unveiled the Norton V4CR Café Racer for the Indian market. This head-turning machine boasts a powerful 1200cc V4 engine churning out 185 bhp and 125 Nm of torque. High-quality components like Öhlins suspension and advanced electronics elevate the riding experience. Based on the V4SV chassis, the stripped-down design showcases the craftsmanship of the handmade aluminium frame and titanium exhaust. Striking features include exposed front air intakes, a contrasting orange single seat, V4CR graphics, black five-spoke wheels, robust upside-down forks, a hand-built upswept exhaust, and a compact tail section that complements the short bodywork.
