Oben Electric Rolls Out 10,000th Rorr Motorcycle From Bengaluru Plant

Oben Electric has rolled out its 10,000th Rorr electric motorcycle from its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, the company announced on Monday. This comes at a time when the company is working to expand its presence in India's electric motorcycle market. The Rorr Evo is the latest to join the Rorr range, which was launched in May 2026 at an introductory price of ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers.

The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker currently has more than 150 showrooms across over 90 cities in 18 states. Its manufacturing plant has an annual production capacity of one lakh units, providing the company with room to increase output as demand for its motorcycles grows.

Oben Electric said bookings for the Rorr Evo have crossed 25,000 units, with production and deliveries already under way across India. The company is increasing manufacturing output to keep pace with customer demand. The production ramp-up is being supported by Oben's 3.5-acre vertically integrated manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.

We started with a clear belief that electric mobility in India cannot be complete without electric motorcycles, and we have stayed focused on building products and technology specifically for the Indian rider.

As we move into our next phase, our focus is on taking electric motorcycle to more riders, more cities and a much larger share of India’s motorcycle market," Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Oben Electric, said in a statement.

The company develops and manufactures several key electric vehicle components in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units (VCUs), chargers and proprietary software.

Motorcycles account for nearly 65 per cent of annual two-wheeler sales in the country, making the segment a significant opportunity for electric vehicle adoption. However, electric scooters continue to account for a much larger share of India's electric two-wheeler market than electric motorcycles.

Oben To Open 200 More Showrooms

The company plans to expand its retail footprint further, with a target of adding 200 exclusive showrooms by the end of FY27. The expansion is intended to take Oben's electric motorcycles to a wider customer base across the country.

The strategy includes higher production capacity with a larger retail network, as the firm looks to build its presence in the electric motorcycle segment rather than competing primarily in the electric scooter market.

With bookings having crossed 25,000 units and deliveries underway, the Rorr Evo is now central to Oben Electric's production expansion and its effort to increase the presence of electric motorcycles in India's two-wheeler market.
