The Ford Everest has gained another new variant, called the Tremor. This is a hardcore, off-road-oriented version of the Everest and comes with multiple off-roading upgrades to make it more capable. The Everest was once sold in India as the Endeavour and if reports are to be believed, it is likely to make a comeback some time soon.
The Everest Tremor, currently available in Australia only, comes with hardware like upgraded suspension with position-sensitive Bilstein dampers that add around 2.5 cm ground clearance. It also rides on heavy-duty General Grabber AT3 Tyres and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also gets a steel bash plate, redesigned bumpers, heady-duty footboard and Tremor badges on the doors and tailgate. Ford is also offering an optional Rough Terrain Pack that adds a stealth bar and under-vehicle armour from ARB as well as an auxiliary switch bank.
It also comes with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 247 bhp and 600 Nm mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Everest Tremor also gets a Rock Crawl drive mode which is claimed to improve traction in off-road conditions.
Inside, the Everest Tremor gets an all-black cabin with Tremor badging on the seats. It also gets a 12-inch vertically-oriented infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, nine airbags, ADAS and more.
The Everest Tremor is priced at AUD 83,930 (roughly ₹47.81 lakh) in the Australian market. While Ford India is expected to bring the Everest back to India, it is unlikely that it will bring the Tremor variant.
