Ola Offers ₹ 25,000 Discounts On Its S1 e-Scooters

Ola Electric has announced massive price cuts across its entire scooter range. Effective immediately, and valid only for February 2024, Ola scooters will be ₹25,000 cheaper, making them even more accessible to potential buyers.

The Ola S1 X+ now starts at ₹84,999, significantly reduced from its previous price of ₹1,09,999. Similarly, the Ola S1 Air is now priced at ₹1,04,999, down from ₹1,29,999, offering a more affordable option without compromising on features. Additionally, the Ola S1 Pro sees a price adjustment to ₹1,29,999, down from ₹1,54,999.

A Strategic Valentine's Day Gift?

Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal announced the offer on Twitter with a celebratory message, calling it a "Valentine's Day gift for all our customers." While the price cuts are undoubtedly attractive for consumers, these are purely going to be for small terms gains. With the FAME-II boost, Ola might want to capitalise on seeking better sales numbers for the upcoming period until the end of March. How will Ola as well as other EV makers fare come April when FAME-II ceases to exist and the lack of clarity on FAME-III subsidies is going to be key to watch.
