The retro stylish Peugeot scooter continues to make a style statement, with even more options to pick from now
Peugeot has been prepping up for the 10th anniversary of its iconic Django scooter. This will be marked by the launch of a brand new, extended range of the Django scooter. The new Django collection has a perfect blend of style and innovation, offering a variety of engines and colours for riders seeking a unique and personalised experience.
The new Peugeot Django 10th Anniversary edition is a head-turner with its clean lines and cutting-edge design. Since its debut in 2014, Django has become synonymous with French style. It has won hearts with its neo-retro design and bold use of colours. This scooter seamlessly blends the iconic look of the 1955 S55 with modern elements. It caters to those who look for the ideal combination of aesthetics and performance. The Django Classic, on the other hand, stays true to its roots, offering a fresh interpretation of traditional French design with modern touches and vibrant colours.
Ten years after its introduction, Peugeot Motocycles is raising the bar with a wider range of colours and trims for the Django Classic. The Classic continues to be available in its original form alongside the Hot Colour, Sport, Cafe Racer, TT, Dark, and Shadow variants.
The new Django has variants, namely Allure and Sport versions. The Allure prioritises elegance and comfort, with a focus on customisable features for a personalised ride. The Sport version, on the other hand, is targeted at racing enthusiasts and those seeking a more flamboyant look. It has a two-tone paint scheme that combines silver with a bright orange for a striking presence on the road.
The Django Classic Hot Colour caters to those who crave a head-turning scooter. It has a timeless design with a variety of distinctive colours that inspire a sense of freedom and dynamism.
The Django Classic Sport blends the charm of vintage style with the spirit of sports car racing. Its graphics evoke a sense of nostalgia for the early days of motorcycle racing, while the modern design draws inspiration from this rich heritage.
The Django Classic Cafe Racer embodies the rebellious essence of the 1950s, reminiscent of an era of adventure and freedom. This version comes in two colour options: Flash Silver matte grey with a contrasting burgundy seat, and a more understated Lychen grey that pays homage to the spirit of motorcycle racing.
The Django TT stands out with its two-tone chrome fairing, reflecting the timeless elegance of the 1950s. Equipped with front and rear chrome luggage racks, this model caters to riders seeking functionality for out-of-town adventures. Its design evokes a sense of nostalgia for simple journeys, like a scenic picnic in the countryside.
The Django Classic Dark features a monochromatic black body with a mix of matte and gloss finishes. The understated design is accentuated by chrome details, while the LED light signature on either side of the radiator grille adds a modern touch.
The Django Classic Shadow takes inspiration from the legendary Peugeot S55. The matte monochromatic military green fairing with gloss black accents creates an adventurous appeal. The integrated LED lighting system provides a distinct and recognisable look.
Both come equipped with LED lighting at the front and rear, forming the brand's signature Lion's Fang motifs. Keeping up with the times, the new Django features a TFT screen and a Smart Key system, eliminating the need for physical keys for ignition and storage access.
Despite its compact design, the new Django delivers without compromising on power. It gets a new liquid-cooled engine based on Peugeot's EasyMotion technology. The 125 cc offers a power output of 12 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 12 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Ergonomics are pretty basic and comfortable like on most scooters. It has got ample storage compartments under the seat and a USB socket for added convenience for both driver and passenger.
The launch of the new Django range marks a significant moment for Peugeot Motocycles as it celebrates a decade of the scooter's success. With its fresh design, innovative features, and a variety of options to choose from, the new Django is sure to continue its legacy of turning heads on the streets.
