First revealed in Italy almost two years ago, the Karizma XMR 250 appears to be nearing its official Indian release.

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch its new premium motorcycle, the Karizma XMR 250, which has been spotted completely undisguised at what appears to be an internal dealership training facility. The sighting of the production-ready machine strongly indicates that dealer-level familiarisation and technician training are already underway.

While the Karizma XMR 250 was first showcased with a red-and-white paint scheme at EICMA 2024, the newly spied production motorcycle features an all-black base coat accented by sporty red graphics.

Compared to the existing Karizma XMR 210, it sports a more muscular and chiselled bodywork with an aggressive front fairing that houses integrated aerodynamic winglets and a taller windscreen to minimise wind buffeting at high speeds. The distinctive lighting setup features twin LED DRLs flanking a centrally positioned projector LED headlamp, paired with premium gold-finished upside-down (USD) front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

The motorcycle also gains adjustable, sporty clip-on handlebars alongside a split seat and rear-set footpegs to deliver an engaging yet usable riding posture. Technology gets a significant bump with a premium digital TFT instrument console that is expected to support Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a lap timer, and a drag timer.

Powering the Karizma XMR 250 will most likely be Hero’s single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine found in the Xtreme 250R. The motor is tuned to produce 29.5 bhp of peak power and 25 Nm of max torque.

Expected to be positioned as Hero's premier fully faired performance offering, the Karizma XMR 250 is projected to be priced at around ₹2 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go head-to-head with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200, and the upcoming Yamaha R2.
