In a tribute to India’s national animal, Range Rover has unveiled the new Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition at ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom, India). This ultra-luxury SUV, inspired by the tiger in its natural habitat, will see only 12 units produced, making it one of the most exclusive vehicles in the market.
The bespoke design of the Ranthambore Edition is heavily influenced by the tiger's natural beauty. The exterior features a bespoke deep black body colour with a rich red shimmering effect, meant to echo the vibrant hues of a tiger's coat. The black paint is complemented by Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents, intended to evoke the tiger's distinctive stripes. Further enhancing the luxurious aesthetic, the roof and mirror caps are adorned with the same shimmering colour effect, while the vehicle rides on 23-inch forged-style dark grey wheels with Corinthian Bronze inserts.
The interior of the Ranthambore Edition has an intricate blend of Caraway and light Perlino semi-aniline leather with contrasting stitching, which gives the seats a striking visual appeal. The artistic embroidery on the seats takes inspiration from the tiger’s spine, with dynamic stripes accentuating the design. Further adding to the opulent feel, the SUV comes with custom scatter cushions, noble chrome jewellery finishes, and white ceramic dials. The light linear wenge veneers complete the sophisticated and uniquely luxurious ambiance.
In terms of functionality, the rear seats are fully reclinable, maximising passenger comfort. Features such as a powered club table, deployable cupholders, and a refrigerated compartment with custom SV-etched glassware highlight the vehicle’s premium SV Signature Suite. SV Bespoke branding, alongside tread plates inscribed with "Ranthambore Edition" and "1 of 12," further enhance the exclusivity of this limited edition.
Under the hood, the new Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre petrol engine that produces 394 bhp of power and 550 Nm of torque.
