Raptee.HV co-founder & CEO Dinesh Arjun with the T30, the first electric performance motorcycle in India to support DC charging.
In an exclusive interaction with Dinesh Arjun, Co-founder & CEO, Raptee.HV, ACKO Drive has learnt many interesting details about the upcoming T30 electric motorcycle. The Chennai-based EV startup had launched the Raptee.HV T30 in October last year and has received over 8,000 bookings since then. While the electric motorcycle was supposed to go on sale earlier this year, it has been delayed, and we have now found out that deliveries for the Raptee electric bike will commence in October during the festive season.
The company already has an operational dealership in Chennai, and one more will be added in Bengaluru soon. According to Arjun the reason for the delay is homologation, as high-voltage electric motorcycles didn’t even exist before Raptee entered the market.
However, he also added that the final production version will be better equipped than the product that was revealed last year. Buyers can expect upgrades in software, new features, and even variable regen on the new bike. The current manufacturing capacity at its plant is 1,500 units per month, but Arjun added that it can be easily scaled up to 9,000 units per month. When probed about fresh investments in the company, Arjun only mentioned that an announcement is coming soon. He also added that the total number of DC chargers across the country has increased from 21,000 in January 2025 to around 32,000 now.
Talking about the Raptee T30, its biggest highlight is that it’s the only electric bike in India to be compatible with CCS2 DC charging which is normally reserved for cars. DC charging means that it can charge much faster than conventional electric bikes available today. Details about the product are still limited, but the company claims that it has an IDC range of 200 km and can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 3.5 seconds, making it as quick as the Ultraviolette F77 and the KTM 250 Duke.
