The new variants ensure that the turbo petrol engine of the SUV gets more accessible.
Renault India has added four new variants to the Kiger sub-compact SUV. This product expansion aims to lower the entry barriers for the turbo petrol engine and premium cabin amenities within the highly competitive entry B-SUV segment.
Following this update, the Renault Kiger Turbo establishes itself as the most affordable turbocharged vehicle in its category, carrying a starting ex-showroom price tag of ₹7.89 lakh.
Central to this portfolio revision is the debut of a new 'Evolution+' trim, positioned to make popular premium features accessible at a lower price point. The Evolution+ variant is offered across three distinct configuration setups: the Energy naturally aspirated engine with a 5-speed manual or Easy-R AMT transmission, and the Turbo engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Priced from ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the naturally aspirated manual specification, this new variant incorporates high-demand tech and comfort features as standard. These include a Smart Access Card paired with a Push Start/Stop button, driver seat height adjustment, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone replication for seamless mobile pairing, and light embossed fabric upholstery.
According to Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Renault India, the updated line-up is intended to democratise the technologies and performance metrics that consumers value most. He noted that modern customer expectations demand a more complete and rewarding ownership package that moves beyond basic low-cost positioning.

To address growing consumer demand for performance-oriented compact vehicles, Renault has expanded its Kiger Turbo family from three to five choices. As part of this expansion, the feature-loaded 'Techno' Turbo variant is now available with a traditional five-speed manual transmission, creating a more attainable, performance-oriented layout for driving enthusiasts. Concurrently, the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 'Energy' engine line-up has grown from six to eight variants, providing a smoother step-up structure across multiple price thresholds.
Otherwise, the vehicle retains its proportions, featuring 205 mm of ground clearance, a 405-litre boot enclosure complemented by 29 litres of interior cabin storage, a 50 kg load capacity for its functional roof bars, and 222 mm of rear knee room.
