In a bid to make its cars more appealing to customers, Renault India has given its entire portfolio the option of a CNG kit. This kit for the Kwid costs ₹75,000, while for the Kiger and Triber costs ₹79,500.
The CNG kit is available on naturally aspirated petrol engines with manual gearbox only. As a result, it is not available for either petrol automatic, turbo-petrol manual, or turbo-petrol automatic powertrain options. Also, the CNG kit will be available for all variants of the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber. It also comes with a three-year warranty.

Renault says the CNG kit fitment will be carried out through its preferred vendors, in a phased manner. It will first begin in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat and Maharashtra, which comprise 65 per cent of Renault’s sales, and the rest of the markets will be catered to in the coming months.
Prices for the Kwid CNG range between ₹5.45 - 6.63 lakh*. The Kiger CNG is available for ₹6.90 - 9.60 lakh* and the Triber CNG is ₹6.90 - 9.03 lakh*. All three cars come with a 1.0-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. In the Kwid, it produces 68 bhp and 92.5 Nm, while in the Kiger and Triber, it produces 71 bhp and 96 Nm.
