Renault India has been using the new logo on marketing materials, showrooms and service centres already.
Even though Renault India unveiled its new logo earlier this year, it still wasn’t incorporated on any of its models. That’s about to change since the upcoming Triber facelift will feature the new logo once it debuts on July 23. Along with announcing the new logo, Renault India has also teased the upcoming sub-4-metre MPV.
The new logo, which isn’t a far cry from the current logo, has been used on all marketing material and touchpoints (showrooms and service centres) already. Compared to the older logo, which was a thick, diamond-shaped logo in 3D, it is now a 2D interpretation with a more evolved, “interlocked” diamond design. Renault India said all future models will feature this new 2D logo. So expect the upcoming Kiger facelift, Duster, Boreal and Kwid EV to feature this logo.
The teaser of the Triber facelift only shows the grille and the new 2D logo. The grille is now much sleeker, and the logo will also be much smaller compared to the outgoing Triber. The grille also has slanted protrusions parallel to the lower half of the diamond logo. The Triber facelift will also get a new metallic Red colour scheme, which is likely to replace the Metal Mustard colour as the new hero colour for the MPV.
The Triber facelift will also likely get a new design for the alloy wheels, headlamps and tailamps along with new, chunkier bumpers. Expect the Triber facelift to also get revamped interiors, new features and possibly a new steering wheel. In terms of safety, Renault is likely to introduce six airbags on the Triber facelift standard and make it standard across the variant line-up. However, don’t expect the Triber to get new powertrains and continue with the existing 72 bhp, 96 Nm, 1.0-litre petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The Triber facelift will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion as a more affordable and affordable rival.
