Revolt Motors Sri Lanka

This is the second international market where Revolt Motors has commenced business after Nepal.

Delhi-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Revolt Motors has expanded its foreign footprint by launching both the RV1 and RV1+ in Sri Lanka. The electric commuter bikes were launched in the island nation at the ongoing EV Motor Show 2025 in Colombo. Revolt Motors has partnered with Evolution Auto, a local business partner, to bring these vehicles to the Sri Lankan market. This represents the company's second major product introduction in the country, after bringing the RV400 and BRZ models to Sri Lanka in 2024.

Commenting on the launch, Anjali Rattan, Chairperson, Revolt Motors, said, “This is more than just a product launch, it's a reaffirmation of Revolt’s global ambitions. With the RV1 and RV1+, we are expanding our reach in Sri Lanka with offerings that blend performance, affordability, and sustainability.”

Both the Revolt RV1 and RV1+ are one of the most affordable electric bikes in Revolt’s portfolio. The duo were launched in India last year starting from ₹84,990. The electric bikes were launched with swappable battery packs wherein the RV1 gets a 2.2 kWh battery pack that is good for a claimed range of 100 km (in Eco mode), while the RV1+ gets a slightly bigger 3.24 kWh pack that can do a claimed range of 160 km (in Eco mode). Eitherway, the RV1 duo get a 2.8 kW mid-mounted electric motor and while Revolt does not reveal the top speed of the bikes, this motor is good enough to carry a payload capacity up to 250 kg.
