China-based Dreame unveiled its first electric car, the hypercar-level Kosmera Nebula 1 concept, at CES 2026, signalling a bold shift from home appliances to high-performance electric mobility.
Chinese consumer electronics company Dreame used CES 2026 in Las Vegas to formally step into the automotive spotlight, unveiling its first-ever car on January 6. Best known for vacuum cleaners and smart home appliances, the Xiaomi Ecological Chain-backed firm revealed a four-door electric performance concept that signals ambitions far beyond household technology.
The concept vehicle, now officially named the Kosmera Nebula 1, represents Dreame’s push into high-end mobility. Although still a concept, the car presents performance figures typically associated with hypercars, underlining the seriousness of the company’s automotive plans.
The Nebula 1 is a four-door electric concept with proportions closer to a supercar than a conventional sedan. Dreame has clarified that Kosmera will serve as the brand name for its automotive division, while Nebula refers specifically to this concept model.
At CES, the car was shown in green with extensive use of carbon fibre across the body. Design highlights include a low-slung bonnet, L-shaped headlights, and a front profile influenced more by modern Italian supercars than earlier hypercar references.
Carbon fibre front pillars reinforce its performance-oriented character. Along the sides, large six-spoke wheels and bright yellow brake calipers stand out, while the four-door layout is smoothly integrated into the roofline.
The rear features full-width lighting, a large fixed rear wing, and a prominent dual-layer diffuser. The absence of visible door handles suggests the concept may not yet comply with certain market regulations.
Powering the Nebula 1 is a quad-motor electric drivetrain delivering a combined 1,399 kW, or around 1,876 bhp. Dreame claims a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 1.8 seconds, placing it among the fastest electric vehicles announced to date. The company attributes this performance to the four-motor setup and active aerodynamics.
While no interior has been revealed, Dreame has indicated that its first production model is targeted for 2027. Plans are also in place for a new manufacturing facility in Berlin, near Tesla’s Gigafactory, highlighting its global aspirations.
