After making its global debut in May this year, Rolls-Royce has launched the Cullinan Series II in India at ₹10.50 crore (ex-showroom, India) and the Black Badge Cullinan Series II at ₹12.50 crore (ex-showroom, India). Priced significantly higher than its predecessor, the Cullinan Series II remains the most expensive SUV in India. The deliveries for the Cullinan Series II and the Black Badge Cullinan Series II will commence in Q4 2024.
Irene Nikkein, Regional Director Asia-Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said, “The debut of Cullinan Series II in India represents a significant milestone for Rolls-Royce in the Asia Pacific region. Since its original launch in 2018, this remarkable motor car has attracted a younger and more diverse group of clients, and today Cullinan is the most requested Rolls-Royce in the marque’s portfolio.”
While the overall silhouette of the Cullinan Series II remains familiar, Rolls-Royce has made several understated yet impactful changes to the SUV’s design. The slimmer headlamps now feature L-shaped LED daytime running lights extending to the bumper, which has been updated for a more modern appearance. Though only slightly redesigned, the front grille continues to command attention with its imposing presence, while the rear bumper now sports a stainless-steel skid plate, offering a more rugged yet polished look. In addition, the Cullinan Series II gets new wheels, further enhancing its road presence.
Step inside the Cullinan Series II, and the changes become more apparent. A full-width glass panel stretches across the dashboard, giving the cabin an even more futuristic and luxurious feel. The centrepiece of the dash is a new display cabinet that houses an intricately detailed analogue clock, with Rolls-Royce’s iconic Spirit of Ecstasy mascot miniaturised and illuminated below it.
On the technology front, the SUV comes equipped with the latest version of Rolls-Royce’s Spirit infotainment system, which offers improved graphics and more personalisation options than before. Owners can now even match the colours of the instrument display to their vehicle’s exterior paint or interior upholstery—a small but thoughtful touch for Rolls-Royce’s discerning clientele.
Under the hood, the Cullinan Series II retains the same powerhouse engine as before: a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12. The standard variant delivers 563 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, while the Black Badge version ups the ante with 592 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. Both variants come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
