The new variant becomes the first all-electric model from the ultra-luxury marque to receive the Black Badge treatment.
Rolls-Royce has officially launched the Spectre Black Badge in India, priced at ₹9.50 crore (ex-showroom), marking the arrival of its most powerful production vehicle to date. The new variant becomes the first all-electric model from the ultra-luxury marque to receive the Black Badge treatment, a designation reserved for models that offer heightened performance, bespoke design elements, and a darker, edgier aesthetic. The Indian debut follows the global unveiling of the model earlier this year in February 2025.
The Spectre Black Badge is powered by a dual-motor setup, with one motor placed on each axle, delivering a combined 650 bhp and 1,075 Nm of torque. The vehicle draws energy from a 102 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 493–530 km on a full charge, depending on usage and driving conditions. This powertrain propels the electric grand tourer from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds, a notable feat for a vehicle of its size and class. The model also introduces Rolls-Royce’s ‘Infinity Mode’, allowing drivers to access the vehicle's full power potential, alongside a launch control feature branded as ‘Spirited Mode’.
In addition to increased output, the Spectre Black Badge features a range of chassis and handling upgrades over the standard model. These include stiffer dampers, enhanced roll stabilisation, and increased steering weight, contributing to improved dynamic response and sharper handling.
Visually, the Spectre Black Badge adopts the signature cues of Rolls-Royce’s performance-focused sub-brand. Exterior detailing such as the Pantheon grille, Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, Rolls-Royce badging, door handles, and window surrounds features a darkened finish. Buyers can also opt for exclusive 23-inch forged alloy wheels, offered in part-polished or fully blacked-out versions.
An innovative addition to the model is a customisable backplate for the front grille, which allows owners to project their choice of colour onto the grille slats—an option not seen in other Rolls-Royce models.
Inside the cabin, the most striking addition is the infinity symbol embedded in the Illuminated Fascia, a design feature comprised of 5,500 LED-lit ‘stars’ of varying intensity set against a Piano Black background. The digital instrument cluster can also be personalised with five distinct colour themes, allowing for further customisation.
The Spectre Black Badge debuts Rolls-Royce’s latest infotainment and control system, named ‘Spirit’, which underpins the car's digital functionality, offering a seamless and intuitive interface for both driver and passenger.
With a base price of ₹9.50 crore, the Spectre Black Badge commands a ₹1.50 crore premium over the standard Spectre variant, which is priced at ₹8 crore (ex-showroom). The Spectre Black Badge is being offered in extremely limited numbers, with availability subject to bespoke customisation and build slots.
