This makes it the most expensive electric vehicle (EV) available in the country.
Rolls Royce has launched its first-ever all-electric model in India, the Spectre, starting at ₹7.5 crore (ex-showroom, India, before options). This makes it the most expensive electric vehicle (EV) available in the country.
Design
The Spectre looks like a quintessential Rolls Royce coupe with a long hood and a fastback-like roof. Like all Rolls Royces preceding it, the Spectre also gets suicide doors with the handle spilling over the front fenders. However, unlike previous Rolls Royce models, the Spectre rides on 23-inch alloy wheels.

Up front, it gets a smaller grille than other models in the brand’s lineup and has a split headlight design. On top of the grille is the iconic ‘Spirit of Ecstacy’ emblem. The rear also looks good because of the fastback roof and the vertically stacked tail lamps.
Interior
Hop on inside and the luxury quotient of the Spectre is very evident and can be easily identified as a Rolls Royce. It is draped in the finest leather and can be customised in any way possible. Front and centre is a big digital infotainment touchscreen that runs on Rolls Royce’s ‘spirit’ operating system.

On the passenger side, the Spirit gets what Rolls Royce calls an ‘Illuminated Fascia’ which consists of more than 5,500 stars depicting the wing of the Spirit of Ecstacy. In between these two displays is the quintessential analogue clock.
Powertrain

The Spectre is based on the same platform as the Phantom and the Cullinan, but unlike those two, it has an all-electric powertrain. The Spectre gets a 102 kWh battery which gives it a claimed range of 530 km. Rolls Royce claims the battery can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 34 minutes using a 195 kW DC fast charger and can be fully charged in 5 hours and 30 minutes with a 22 kW AC charger. Furthermore, the Spectre gets two electric motors developing 577 bhp and 900 Nm of torque (combined).
