Participants of the Moroccan Odyssey Adventure will be provided Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, known for its all-terrain capabilities.

Royal Enfield has announced the launch of a new global marquee riding experience, the Moroccan Odyssey 2026, marking the brand’s first marquee ride on the African continent. Scheduled to take place from March 27 to April 4, 2026, the 12-day expedition will cover nearly 2,000 kilometres across some of Morocco’s most diverse and demanding terrains.

The Moroccan Odyssey represents a significant expansion of Royal Enfield’s marquee ride portfolio, which includes long-standing experiences such as the Himalayan Odyssey, One Ride, and Moto Himalaya. Introduced as the brand celebrates 125 years of heritage, the Moroccan Odyssey extends the “Odyssey” philosophy beyond the Himalayas, reinforcing Royal Enfield’s focus on exploration-led motorcycling experiences that go beyond conventional touring routes.

Designed as an exclusive expedition, the ride is positioned as a high-engagement journey for riders seeking a raw and immersive adventure across unfamiliar landscapes.

Route Highlights Across Morocco

The journey begins in Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cultural centres, before climbing the Tizi n'Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, rising to an altitude of 2,260 metres. From there, the route passes through Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Door of the Desert,” before descending into the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara.

Following the desert stage, the expedition moves north through the Middle Atlas, traversing high plateaus and forested terrain. Riders then pass through the historic city of Fes, continue to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, and finally conclude the journey in Rabat, where the route meets the Atlantic coast.

Participants in the Moroccan Odyssey will ride the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the brand’s latest all-terrain adventure motorcycle. According to the company, the Himalayan 450 has been chosen for its ability to handle a wide range of riding conditions, from high-altitude mountain passes to fine desert sand.

Royal Enfield describes the Moroccan Odyssey as more than a geographical journey, emphasising the camaraderie and shared experience forged over nearly 1,820 kilometres of riding. The expedition is intended to bring together riders from different backgrounds, united by a common pursuit of exploration and discovery in challenging environments.

The ride reflects the brand’s broader strategy of fostering a global riding community through curated experiences that combine culture, terrain and motorcycling.
