Royal Enfield's debut electric bike, the Flying Flea C6, has won the Red Dot Design Concept Award 2025 under the “Design Concept” category. The bike draws its heritage from the 1940s Flying Flea, a compact bike that was parachuted into combat zones during the Second World War.
“Flying Flea was born from the conviction that design is the very essence of how we think, create, and connect. And the FF.C6 is about carrying an incredible story forward through its design language, a balance brought to life by our industrial design and product development teams. Every line and every detail of the FF.C6 is a deliberate expression of that belief—where tradition meets future, and technology serves emotion as much as function. To see our vision recognised with the Red Dot Award is both an honour and an encouragement, and it reinforces our path: building machines that inspire all of us to live lightly and redefine how people experience City+ mobility,” said Sivakumar S, Head - Industrial Design, Flying Flea and Royal Enfield, Electric Vehicles
The C6 features contemporary styling that sets it apart from conventional motorcycles. Key visual features include a suspended seat design, the girder-fork front suspension, droplet-shaped fuel tank styling, circular instrument cluster, and a visible aluminium frame structure. The electric bike also incorporates a finned magnesium battery housing and fork design reminiscent of vintage motorcycles.
This model will launch the Flying Flea brand, with a second variant called the S6 planned next. The S6 will adopt scrambler styling cues. Both motorcycles are being developed by Royal Enfield's internal development teams based in India and the United Kingdom. Royal Enfield is likely to display the Flying Flea C6 at the MotoVerse 2025 event scheduled for November.
