This is the first time that Royal Enfield’s debut electric motorcycle has been spotted being tested in India.
Royal Enfield’s debut electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6 has been spotted being tested on the public road for the first time. Even though the bike was completely camouflaged, the design of the production-spec bike has not changed much from what RE showcased last year at EICMA 2024, and later in India earlier this year. So right from its sleek body style down to its retro underpinnings like the girder fork and even those finned battery casing, seems will continue into the production bike.
The test mule here was spotted with the split seat design, which Royal Enfield had previously said would be available as an accessory. However, the aluminium mirrors on the showcase bike have been replaced with chrome mirrors on the test mule. Beyond that, the round headlight and the pod-shaped tail light have all remained the same. Similarly, that teardrop tank design has also remained untouched here.
While we couldn’t spot the instrument console of the test mule, Royal Enfield had earlier confirmed that the Flying Flea C6 will debut with a brand new touchscreen circular TFT display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to support various features including voice control, navigation and much more. Along with that, features like keyless start/stop function, multiple ride modes, and over-the-air (OTA) updates will also be available as standard.
Royal Enfield is yet to unveil the official specs of the Flying Flea C6. However, at the time of unveiling, the brand had confirmed that the electric motorcycle has been engineered primarily for city use, and that it is targeting a 100 km of range. On top of that, this will also be one light electric bike wherein it will tip the scales at around 100 kg.
While the official launch timeline of the new Flying Flea C6 is still under wraps, we reckon it will happen sometime by the end of 2025 or in the first quarter of 2026. The Chief Growth Officer of Flying Flea, Mario Alvisi sat down with us to give us some exclusive preview about the bike and about his hopes with the Flying Flea C6 and what that means for Royal Enfield. To know more about it, check out our interaction in the video below:
