While the upcoming Interceptor 750 will largely remain the same, a few subtle updates should improve the bike.
Royal Enfield’s ongoing onslaught of new bikes is not slowing down anytime soon. While the marque will take things slightly slow in 2025, there will still be more than a couple of launches this year. The one that reserves the capacity to surprise us pleasantly will be the new Interceptor 750. The roadster bike has been spotted being tested on public roads for quite some time now, and the latest glimpse sees the motorcycle without any camouflage – which means one thing – Royal Enfield is close to finalising the production-spec of the bike.
And while the Chennai-based manufacturer is yet to officially confirm that it is working on a new 750 cc, parallel-twin engine for the future. Some hardware components, like the beefier telescopic fork and dual-disc brakes up front, spotted with the test mule Interceptor indicate that the upcoming bike will be performance-oriented. The current 650 cc engine delivers 47 bhp and the new motor could have an output of close to 55-60 bhp.
Speaking of hardware components, the test mule bike continues to sport the same dual-shock absorber at the rear and the dual-silencer setup. Similarly, the bike's body design is similar to the current Interceptor 650. This is a nice thing, for that retro design makes it among the most beautiful bikes on sale.
But the most significant upgrade we noticed with the Interceptor 750 test mule has to be the fully digital round instrument cluster. This is the same unit that debuted with the Himalayan 450 and later on the Bear 650, and it comes with all the latest connectivity options, including Google Maps.
Given the slew of updates the Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 will debut with, the asking price of the bike will naturally be more than the current Interceptor 650, which is priced between ₹3.03 lakh to ₹3.31 lakh (Ex-showroom, Chennai).
