The bike was revealed at the ongoing London Bike Shed Motoshow.
As Royal Enfield gears up to launch its first 450 cc roadster, what has been confirmed will be called by Guerrilla 450 in the Indian market, the legendary bikemaker has unveiled a new model based on the same platform, and this time it's a flat track bike.
Although still in the concept stages, this new custom motorcycle does reserve the potential to replace the FT 411 in the future that RE fields for its track events. However, a full-on-production spec motorcycle for the masses doesn’t seem to be the case here.
Since the new RE Flat Track concept is based on the same 450 platform, it gets the new Sherpa 450 cc engine which produces 39.47 bhp and 40 Nm in the Himalayan ADV. Provided its application will be in motorsports in the future, we might see a higher state of tune here. However, official figures are under wraps at the moment.

Visible changes noticeable apart from that reapproached design include a new handlebar, and the new telescopic fork suspension, that we’ve spotted with the test Guerrilla 450 models too. The absence of any extensive body panels further contributes to its motorsport usage, thus keeping matters minimal for weight and for fewer parts to get damaged.
All in all, Royal Enfield’s new Flat Track concept comes across as a very likeable product, that any enthusiast would like to swing their leg by. We wish we could do too. But the bike was unveiled in London. Whether RE brings it to our shores and showcases or not is something that we’ll have to wait and watch. If they bring it, they might then showcase at its annual motorcycle show, Motorverse, formerly known as Rider Mania, somewhere in December, in Goa.
