Shell India launches upgraded Helix lubricant range with revamped packaging and enhanced performance.
Shell India has introduced an updated version of its premium motor oil, Shell Helix Ultra, now compliant with the 2025 API SQ standard.
Alongside this, the company has rolled out a revamped packaging design for its Shell Helix lubricant range, reflecting a modern aesthetic and improved functionality. The changes aim to enhance shelf visibility and simplify product selection for consumers.
The revised Shell Helix Ultra is designed to offer improved engine performance and durability. It utilises Shell’s PurePlus Technology, which the company claims converts natural gas into a base oil with 99.5 per cent purity.
Independent tests indicate the oil boosts engine power by a notable margin, enhances responsiveness, and maintains 100 per cent power retention, potentially leading to better fuel efficiency and prolonged engine life.
The launch coincides with the introduction of Shell’s global ‘Unleash the Power Within’ campaign in India, featuring Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. This marks a continuation of the brand’s 75-year association with the racing team.
Shell has maintained its position as the world’s leading lubricant supplier for 18 consecutive years, according to a recent industry report. The upgraded Shell Helix range seeks to reinforce this standing by providing superior engine protection.
The new packaging also aligns with partnerships with major original equipment manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors, Nissan, and BMW M Motorsports, underscoring the brand’s role in the automotive sector.
The company has outlined plans to update its operating outlook over the next decade, though long-term emission targets remain subject to external factors.
