The Simple Dot One claims to have the highest certified range for any electric scooter on sale in India.
Bengaluru-based startup Simple Energy has introduced its second electric scooter, the Dot One. Simple Energy has unveiled an exclusive introductory offer for customers who pre-booked the Simple One in Bengaluru. The Simple Dot One is available at a special price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) for these customers, a deal that stands while inventory lasts. This limited offer aims to reward early adopters of Simple Energy's EV technology.
For new customers, the official launch price will be revealed in January 2024. Online bookings for the Dot One are now open, but are only restricted to buyers in Bengaluru.
The highlight feature of the Dot One is its noteworthy range. With a fixed battery, the e-scooter has a certified range of 151 km and an impressive 160 km in IDC. In terms of performance, Simple claims an acceleration timing of 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds. Featuring a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor, it achieves a peak torque output of 72 Nm.
Equipped with specially designed tubeless tyres on 12-inch wheels, the scooter ensures a smooth and safe ride. Safety features include CBS (Combined Braking System) complemented by efficient disc brakes, providing riders with confidence and control on the road. The Simple Dot One comes in four colors - Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue.
Deliveries of the Dot One will commence in Bengaluru and gradually extend to other cities in a phased manner. This strategic approach allows Simple Energy to ensure a smooth rollout and meet the increasing demand.
Beyond its impressive range and performance, the Dot One incorporates advanced technology to enhance the overall user experience. A touch screen instrument cluster offers diverse functionality and seamless app connectivity.
Placed in direct competition with the Ola S1 X, the Simple Dot One emerges as a contender. The larger battery has its upper hand here.
