After securing $20M in funding, Simple Energy launched its first retail outlet and plans to expand in India.
Simple Energy has inaugurated its first-ever retail outlet, 'Simple Store', in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant expansion of its presence in the country. The newly launched Simple Store is a 1300-square-foot outlet designed to provide an immersive brand experience for customers. The store features various sections, including a merchandise area, an experience zone where customers can learn about the company's products and offerings, and a display of bespoke accessories for Simple Energy's flagship products, the Simple One and Simple Dot One.

Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy said, "We are excited to announce the opening of our new Simple Store, expanding our presence and aiming to connect with more customers. We are now ready to implement our plans of bringing automobile innovation to a wider audience, and the inauguration of Simple Store is a key example of this strategy in action."

The company plans to open five more Simple Stores by September, with additional locations to follow in the coming months. This expansion is part of Simple Energy's strategy to capture significant market share by the end of the financial year. With a strong focus on in-house manufacturing, Simple Energy produces 95 per cent of its scooter components domestically, setting it apart from competitors.

Simple has secured $20 million (₹167.46 crore) in Series A funding to accelerate growth, enhance production, and expand its market reach in India. The funds will be used to ramp up production of its flagship electric scooters, Simple One and Simple Dot One, explore more affordable variants, and establish a broader dealership network. The investment will also go towards research and development to introduce innovative electric vehicle products, aiming to enhance customer accessibility and bolster sales.
With a target revenue of ₹150 crore for the current fiscal year, Simple Energy is poised to become a major player in the Indian electric vehicle market, offering two variants of Simple One with certified ranges of 212 km and 151 km, and committed to making electric two-wheelers more accessible and driving sustainability in India.
