Simple Ultra E-Scooter Unveiled With 6.5 kWh Battery Pack, Promises Segment-Leading 400 Km Range

Bengaluru-based start-up Simple Energy has pulled the wraps off the new Ultra electric scooter bringing a bigger battery pack and more range to the model. The new Simple Ultra packs a 6.5 kWh battery pack, which gives the model a range of 400 km (IDC) on a single charge. The Ultra gets the biggest battery and range on offer on any electric scooter not just in India but globally as well.

Simple Ultra: Big Battery, Bigger Range 

The Simple Ultra is based on the One electric scooter but packs a bigger battery. The company claims the e-scooter can sprint from 0-40 kmph in 2.77 seconds, 0.27 seconds slower than the Simple One. Visually, the model looks identical to the standard One but gets a new paint scheme and a different seat cover.

Other features appear to be the same and come from the Simple One Gen 2 electric scooter. The latter has been launched alongside the Ultra and comes with improvements on every front, including styling, performance, safety, features, and more. The new Simple One e-scooter is priced from Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, and is available in two variants - Standard and S.  For now, the Simple  Ultra remains a showcase and should arrive later in the year. Prices should be around the Rs 2 lakh mark for the Ultra when it hits showroom floors.
